Italy was the first big one, after my Valentine's weekend trip in Feb: Milan-Florence (+Pisa)-Rome-Venice,March 2009
then was Easter Break.. first a stop in London, with a drive thattook us to Cardiff, Wales, and then to Sweden (Uppsala and Stockholm) and Norway (Oslo and Bergen), early April
and then Amsterdam for Queen's Day, April 30.. going into early May

and then Eastern Europe: Bratislava (in Slovakia), Vienna (in Austria), Prague (in Czech Republic) and going back to Bratislava again, end May 2009
which was very quickly followed by a 3-day trip to Paris, June 2009
